Halloween is days away so it is the perfect time to binge watch movies to get into to Halloween mood. Here are 6 movies that are perfect for this time of year.

“The Nightmare Before Christmas” (1999) 

“The Nightmare Before Christmas” is a very popular movie in pop culture. It is about Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town. He is in charge of frightening people in the real world, he does this every single year so he has began to grow bored and tired of doing this. One day Jack comes across the Christmas Town, he is so fascinated by everything in the Christmas Town. This is his first time seeing something besides Halloween so he begins to see life in a different way. Jack plans to kidnap Santa Claus and take over his job because he is excited about finally doing something new. Jack soon learns that this isn’t as simple as he thought it would be.

“Hocus Pocus” (1999)

“Hocus Pocus” is about a teenage boy from Los Angeles, California named Max Dennison who moves to Salem, Massachusetts which is known for its history of witches. On Halloween night, Max and his younger sister Dani decide to go explore an abandoned house that supposedly belonged to witches before they were killed. Max accidentally frees the spirits of evil witches and now they want to do everything they possibly can to become immortal. Now the kids have to steal the witches’ spell book to stop them from reaching their goal.

“Halloweentown” (1998)

“Halloweentown” is about a family of witches who have no idea that they are witches. On Halloween day, their grandma comes to visit them and they follow her home t0 discover she lives in a town of supernatural beings. Marnie (one of the girls) finds out she is a witch and that her family is in trouble. There is an evil trying to take over the world and they must help to fight stop it.

“Ghostbusters” (1984)

“Ghostbusters” is that one movie with the catchy theme songs that everyone tends to know. This movie is about 4 scientists who lose their jobs and decide to become ghostbusters for money. They end up getting into trouble with supernatural things like different dimensions and now they have to fix everything before an evil takes over New York and completely destroys everything.

“Monster House” (2006)

This movie might not be considered a classic yet but it is definetly worth a watch. The movie title is pretty self explanatory, three teenagers find out that the house across the street is haunted and it has human characteristics which makes it able to harm people, especially children. They try to tell people but obviously no one believes them so they have to take matters into their own hands and “take down” the house so that it doesn’t hurt children on Halloween day.

“It” (1990)

Everyone knows who Pennywise the clown is, this popular movie got a remake in 2017 but everyone knows the originals are always better.  This movie is about Pennywise the clown is a child-killer who taunts children and tries to lure them. Seven teenagers try to take him down when he comes to haunt their hometown.
